Chinese Restaurant

This captivating image reminds me of the best Chinese restaurants I've ever visited, most recently, the Nom Wah Tea Parlor in NYC's Chinatown. The photo presents this place's simple, almost austere decor, its wiring which almost certainly would fail inspection if an inspector were diligent enough, and billows of steam rising from the kitchen area and also from what I take to be a bowl of soup. All well presented in b&w, as I would expect. (Also, I should tell you that's it's too early for me to eat lunch, but thanks to you, I'm famished!)

Your framing of the scene makes it look like a stage production, with the curtain across the top and the apron of the stage in the foreground. Kudos.

I love black & white. The great tones and sharp image, I can smell the Hoisin sauce, I feel like I am there.
