The End

gbaldrich

Once a major stopping point for 400 species of migrating birds, the inland Salton Sea has no inlet or outlet and so is dying. In 15-20 years it will be nothing but salt dust in the wind.

Fourryrs- Sadly it's too late to see anything or shoot anything of beauty. The water is evaporating, the fish dying. These trees, once filled with birds, have fallen and the water they once stood in has receded a mile or two. California has spent millions and will spend more trying to salvage something of it. But it's pretty much a lost cause.

Amazing capture with excellent light, colors and composition, Bart. I like the placement of the sun in the image and composition.
