tai 3 Posted July 14, 2018 Amazing eye-catching abstract, Jack! Just a few bricks, careless wall texture, light and shadows created such an original composition! I like both the photo and the name. Bravo! Sincerely, Tatiana Link to comment

DGorinstein 20 Posted July 25, 2018 I very much like the minimalistic aspect of this superb "stillness" of a "still" photograph....I like even more the implied purpose of the future of the foundation from the shadows, but I keep wondering why you chose "foreboding", as something with an ominous connotation, unless we prefer to choose the definition of presentiment, in which case I find more congruence. The wall's texture seems like slowly "eating" or rather incorporating the bricks. Fantastic as usual. DG Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted July 25, 2018 Thanks Daniel for your extended comment. I think I'm best at this kind of picture, the in-site abstract. As for the title, I have to agree with you that "A sense of Foreboding" was a poor choice and didn't capture my feeling about the picture. I had to put down something so I went for an obvious choice at the time. Presentiment would be better, than foreboding. That's the danger of falling into a cliche in regards to shadows. The whole idea is to shatter the cliche rather than to reinforce it. Link to comment
