In all fairness, credit to the poetry should rightly go to Jim Morrison, who came strolling down this beach (or nearby at Venice Beach) in the summer of 1965 and met Ray Manzarek, sat down in the sand and sang his song: Moonlight Drive. And a band was formed...and history was made..."There are things that are known and there are things that are unknown, and in between are doors."

Philip; once again thank you for the comment and history. I'm a vintage rock fan myself and I've lived SoCal off and on my whole life and never heard this story.
