michaellinder 16,611 Posted June 11, 2018 I just learned online that the reds in Pompeii's walls were the result of gasses from the eruptions of Vesuvius. Whatever the explanation, this image is a fine tribute to the staying power of what remains of the city. Just the right amount of detail and sharpness, without overblown colors; well done, Jack.
