Light and shadow

Beautiful clear morning after an overnight storm. 7:54 am pacific.

The long shadow makes it pretty early in the morning I guess .. It's so hard to take photos in the sun ... the light is wonderfully balanced here though and the composition is flawless.

Hi John, Thank you very much for you visit and compliments. We too some night pictures nearby, took some sun rise pictures at Dantes View ~ 1700 meter elevation and drove to the dunes. After about 2 km hike, we arrive at this location around 7 in the morning local time. Perfect for strong shadows! Even more importantly temperature was 26 deg C and not 42 later on in the day.

This work reminds me of the work the late Andre the Diene. Posing, positioning and an immaculate black and white photography. Compliments
