Jack McRitchie 150 Posted May 25, 2018 Looking through some of the latest uploads this morning I was pretty much unimpressed. Some nice pictures but nothing that made me sit up and take notice. This picture grabbed my attention right away. It was, of course, yours. Link to comment
Zbigniew Tyburczy - ZT 6 Posted May 25, 2018 Hi Daniel,For some reason the image looks very futuristic...and also somehow very sad - no human presence, just lights, windows and that poster with 'device', which caused all of this?Well done!,ZT, Link to comment
DGorinstein 20 Posted May 26, 2018 Jack, my dear friend. I thank you sincerely, because somehow, we have come to know each other through our photography. Your comments are, without exception, an encouragement and a coveted prize for me. I am humbled by your comments and I bow respectfully and silently with sincere thanks. Zbigniew: Thank you so much for taking the time to really analyze and look at this image. I value enormously when someone looks deeper into my photos (so do I with others', by the way, since I don't take photography lightly, it is a serious matter for me, as I have been immersed in it for over half a century). Interesting your view of "futurism". What caught my eye was precisely that: in a bustling, overcrowded city, with the moon setting and all seems quiet "above" the city, knowing that in the streets there are literally hundreds of thousands of people, motorcycles, street vendors, cars, pedestrians, shouts and noise. For me this was the "contrast" in real and photographic terms. Many sincere thanks to both of you. DG Link to comment
