Mark Z 371 Posted May 19, 2018 I like the sparse use of red on the only diagonal bit in the photo. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted May 19, 2018 Mark, thanks for the comment. I think whatever interest this picture engenders is due to those diagonal red handles. By the way, how about posting some new work. Link to comment
FranzWeber 368 Posted May 19, 2018 Jack, interesting graphic work with the diagonal red handles as a highlight. Best regards, Franz Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted May 19, 2018 Agreed on the red diagonals. Yet there's a lot of other interesting elements in this photograph: the difference in texture among the masonry wall, the mostly black object leaning against it, and the blocks in front; the dominance of linearity over curvilinearity; and the familiar boundaries diving the realities within this frame. Saadsalem 74 Posted May 19, 2018 An eye caching image, but I don't know what to say , I guess everything in its proper place. Link to comment
DGorinstein 20 Posted May 20, 2018 Hi Jack: You truly have a gift, that of transformation. The way you instantly spot "visual value" out of ordinary objects is fantastic. So dynamic an image out of still objects, i.e. the agile combination of the intense red with this special tone of green, and then, the many textures so different among them in the same place and then everything slashed, as by a cutter on an architect's drawing by the diverging reds. Congratulations, and thanks for bringing class, quality and worthwhile discussion subjects to PN. Best regards. DG Link to comment
