Jack, running the risk of trivializing this image, it proves that less is more. There's nothing fancy or mysterious about the roadway, and the vegetation on either side is composed entirely of grass(es). Yet there is an implicit story. It's safe to assume that the person toward the top is following the roadway. We do not, however, know how far or to where the trail leads. An added bonus - - The person walking down the hill has somewhat of a subdued shadow. To me, this is superior b&w work; I only hope that I can reach this level one day.

Michael, Franz - Thanks for the comments on this picture. You're right, gentlemen, it's a kind of ordinary photograph. I really don't do "spectacular" very well. Spectacular just confuses my addled brain. But I do like simple pictures that contain just a hint of mystery. You know, there are very few of us that actually comment anymore; it's not like it was seven or eight years ago. C'est la vie. I'm not big on pressing a "like" button to express myself. Hell, most of the present membership can't seem to summon up even that amount of energy. Still, I soldier on and will continue commenting and trying to re-create the kind of PN that long inspired and energized me. Good to find some companions on the long march.

Yes the image is simple....but it has a 'timelessness' about it. Yes PN is very different........I don't even know how to send a message - and I am not online much - but it is nice to come back and find you here........still. Thank you for 'soldiering on' Jack.
