Impressionistic black and white photography. Very interesting especially in compositional terms. Really as close to Impressionistic painting as I've ever seen in a monochrome photo.

Who was your teacher? When it wasn't b/w I would say Monet. Regards, Franz

Silent elegance and powerful simplicity, that IMHO is achieved by the use of BW. This only shows how good, old-school photography can turn an uneventful scene (for those who are not photographers) into something this striking. Congratulations. DG

I won't repeat the comments about impressionism (although I agree with them), but it's worth mentioning that the painterly treatment of the image gives it quite a serene atmosphere. The somewhat soft detail adds to that. George, your b&w work is stunning, and this one is a fine example.
