Jack McRitchie 150 Posted May 15, 2018 You do this type of photography so well. They contrast very sharply with your Canadian pictures which seem to be mostly landscapes where people are seldom to be seen. Here we see the people of the village front and center, going about their business. There is a timeless quality to these photos of daily village life; they are pictures that will always remain fresh, vibrant and filled with the spirit of the people. They catch and preserve the essence of the moment. Link to comment

frigo 4,155 Posted May 16, 2018 Jack...Thank you for the kind appreciation.Maybe I have already shared with you that this is the type of photography that I prefer above all others as it leaves you(the photographer) with much more than images, but lasting memories of encounters which I still have many more on file waiting for a re-visit.When retirement came,I was left with landscapes to exercise my photo addiction and although the multiple seasons of my Canadian location can be challenging, nothing approaches the human contact I experienced in my overseas work exiles. Now,whenever I feel the need to ''travel'',I brush the dust off and open up a box of memories and upload a couple.Glad you like these latest few.Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
