Trial run!

Crab boat loaded with traps is out for a trial run in preparation for its midnight official season opening outing.Salutations-Laurent

They sure are colorful- looks like they're going to a party :) Is there a difference between a crab boat and a lobster boat?

Greg & Verena..I wrote a too long reply and the time lapse ate it.In short,crab boat is much bigger,steel construction($M) and made for open sea/long outings/larger crew.Lobster is smaller wood/fiberglass built($T) made for daily outings in coastal waters.The boat in photo is smaller,almost lobster size with crab rigging...maybe of the few with lotery type permit to participate in crab quota.Lobster is a time limit (2-months) season.Salutations-Laurent
