Laurent, it does gobble up lots of time to capture a wildlife and get these excellent results. The writing is really good as efforts for the presentation, all make for easy and welfare emotions.

Rem...Thank you for viewing and for the kind appreciation. It does take some patience to work around wildlife like these cormorants which are hard to approach;when I spotted these,I was some distance away and was hoping the tide current would drift the piece of ice on which they were perched in range for a few shots but the current changed and I had to drive closer, shut the engine and shoot from the window of the car not to scare them away. This one decided to leave anyway and I just shot away...hoping!Salutations-Laurent

Lovely shot, Laurent which really emphasizes the speed and trajectory of the cormorant's takeoff. Interesting that you've caught three separate splashes as he gathers enough speed to become airborne. Your patience was rewarded.

Jack...Thank you kindly.Following your observation on the splashes,I looked at shots I managed on other take-offs and, amazingly, the splash pattern is almost identical.I have uploaded three other shots and ,if you have time, take a look .Salutations-Laurent
