michaellinder 16,611 Posted April 3, 2018 I never knew that icicles grew this big in your part of the world, Laurent. Even though I wish I had been with you when you shot this, I certainly wouldn't be thrilled about being in the monster's mouth, especially when it snapped shut. Very well crafted image! - - My best, michael Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted April 6, 2018 Michael...Sorry about the late reply as I missed your comment(email alerts have ceased to function over 3-months ago and Admin has not responded). These icicles grow on the pieces high on the beach out of reach of the normal tides and much like our maple syrup, freeze up at night and flow during the day under the warming sun.Your company would be most welcomed as it is somewhat lonely to walk these cold beaches. As for the bite from these guys, one has to be careful as a lot of these are in fragile equilibrium and a kick in the teeth can bring them to topple over, not too dangerous on the smaller monsters but very much so on the big ones.Glad you like the shot!Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
