Greg & Verena,...Depending on the direction of the wind,what is aflow in the distance will either float out to the open sea or end up on shore during a storm.The problem is that the predominant wind is from the North and even if the ice is floated out it will in most cases be pushed back in unless it has been broken up small in the process.Salutations-Laurent
