frigo 4,155 Posted March 17, 2018 Over the road blow to get a little help from the wind!-Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted March 17, 2018 By the time I left Buffalo to live in Florida, snowblowers weren't very popular yet. Snowplows were used to clear roadways, especially arterial ones. This image demonstrates the power of an industrial snowblower, and provides great material for you. The lighting is spot on. By the way, would you consider cropping from the left edge so that it is situated just to the right of the snowblower? - - My best.michael Link to comment
gregverena 339 Posted March 17, 2018 Wonder if they have snow blowing competitions! Quite impressive. Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted March 18, 2018 Michael..When snow builds up this high, plows just bog down unless it's a V-Type which is not really used since the coming of the snowblowers which burst the trail and the wing plows come behind to clean up.The more windy it is, the more spectacular the scene ...for photo seekersOn the original frame.I thought the space on the left was too wide and besides it had a power pole which I cropped out;is your idea to have a rainbow type arch over the road?...sure,I'll work it and post next to this one.Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted March 18, 2018 Greg & Verena...Not really but if you show up with a camera, these guys will accomodate....especially if it's a really windy day.I will try to get such a shot next storm....next year I hope!Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
