From Sting's "Fields of Gold:" "You'll remember me when the west wind moves upon the fields of barley." Even without the Buddha, this image certainly has meditative quality. Perhaps, as is, the image provides another version of the Buddha legend - that Siddhartha received enlightenment while sitting in a barley field in bright sunlight, rather than by sitting in the shade a Bo tree provided. - - My best, michael
