Is interesting as photo subject, also I think can be very good in bw.I try myself to scan old slides and make them in new format but I wasn't satisfied by result. In 80 years I did most of photo in slides and bw film.Today is so easy with digital tech and can do hundreds of photos in a day and select what we want, never possible this in that time.

all my best my friend

Hi Radu,..I tried this in B/W but decided to keep the color to highlight two things:first, the impeccable dress code of the man for his attendance at Friday prayers and the red/white checkered ghutra on his head,a sign of his passage at MECCA as I was told by an Indonesian friend.I also have a lot of slides from the 80's of my time in Madagascar and Nigeria which I might eventually get to scan.I also have all the negatives of the images of Indonesia and Peru including those I have on this PN site which are scans off small prints which I am sure would be much better if scanned directly from the negatives....but that is a big job.All this would be different if digital had been available then as you say....and also very far from what it cost then.Salutations my friend-Laurent

Hi Laurent,

It is splendid the way it is (despite the fact that there is no much snow or ice; ha ha) I think it will be too "flat" in B&W

Hi Andrew..Thank you for the appreciation.Snow is very nice for photos but I would gladly trade my Canadian winters for the snowless ones I spent in Africa,Asia and South America.....''those were the days''!Salutations-Laurent

Wayne...Thank you.Indonesia is a great place with most hospitable and kind people.I was there for roughly 3 years...the only down side about it was that I had to work but any time off was camera time.Salutations-Laurent
