michaellinder 16,611 Posted February 7, 2018 Laurent, this image is paradigmatic of the stark appearance that often is associated with winter, especially the hints of vegetation appearing above the snow-covered terrain. I'm also quite taken by the inclusion of a human presence - bootprints - in the frame. Your choice of b&w was the right one, in my opinion. - - My best, michael Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted February 9, 2018 Michael...Thank you for looking closely and for your kind appreciation of this one. This breach in the dune was man-made and over the years has been ''maintained'' mostly by ATV traffic both in summer and in winter as you see the tracks here;I venture to say that the only footprints this place has seen(especially in winter) in the last few years have been mine and my faithfull dog Caramelle's(until last year)...a shame as this area can be very attractive and really photo friendly if you are willing to suffer frozen fingers..This place used to be a choice swimming place but has been abandoned in favour of a Government sponsored/ maintained beach a little farther down the road.Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
