michaellinder 16,611 Posted January 31, 2018 In general, I like this image. It is well composed, and the conversion to b&w was a good call, in my opinion. My only hesitation, given the image's title, concerns the predominant black tones of the harpist. I can understand the silhouetting of the two people on the right side. To me, the image would be more impactful had the musician's arm, face, and hand been lightened to the midtone range. - - Best, michael Link to comment
Ken Ratcliffe 103,263 Posted February 1, 2018 Michael, Thank you, it's good to receive constructive meaningful comments which I fully appreciate. With this image I've carried out very little PP apart from conversion to b&w and small adjustments to the contrast, attempting to replicate the natural view as seen walking through the short dark tunnel towards daylight. The harpist and three people in the tunnel were viewed as silhouettes and attempts to lighten those areas my have looked false. Best regards Ken. Link to comment
