michaellinder 16,611 Posted January 30, 2018 The last time I saw images of ice fishing was by watching two very funny movies with Jack Lemon and Walter Matthau. This one is far more charming and authentic. - - Best, michael Link to comment

frigo 4,155 Posted January 31, 2018 Michael...This is part of winter here and those who practice this activity do it not only for the leisure but also for the delight of having the little fish on their table.Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted January 31, 2018 Radu..The space is exagerated by the lense, but on a cold day, this can be very comfortable thanks to that propane heater you see on the left.In the hole you can see the thickness of the ice, around 30 cm,thick enough for some to be using their pickup trucks.Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
Tony Long 28 Posted January 31, 2018 Now that is my kind of winter fishing. Fascinating photograph Laurent. We have no ice here but maybe floating fishing cabins could be a winner here!RegardsTony Link to comment
gregverena 339 Posted January 31, 2018 Just the tv and beer missing- like fishing through your living room- fascinating. Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted February 1, 2018 Tony,...Thank you.The fishing is not that great but the real thrill here is to be out on the ice, with your wife as in this case or with the boys and a few beers when it's -25C and a blizzard outside. Many if not all of these are fishermen needing to be near the water while waiting for the ice to go and the real fishing season to start.Your idea is not bad,but for us here, once winter says goodbye,we want to be out in the sun.Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted February 1, 2018 Greg & Verena...Correction...just the TV missing!!!One thing about this is you need to be comfortable with whoever yuo are sharing the shack as it's pretty close quarters.Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
