svetlana_korolyova 27 Posted January 27, 2018 An interesting combination of lines of the body and lines of the old tree. Link to comment
andrzejp 7 Posted January 27, 2018 Hi Svetlana, Thank you very much. It is a Mesquite killed by the moving sand. Link to comment
kazimir 5 Posted January 27, 2018 Hi Andrew, your Mesquite looks like a giant octopus which remind me of a great japanese artists (like Katsushika Hokusai among others) who use the similar motive quite often...all the best!!! Link to comment

DGorinstein 20 Posted January 29, 2018 This is what I call "true photographic vision". Without the woman, the impact would not be so stunning. It is a very strong contrast between youth and decay. The tree by itself would not have evoked the phantom-like, "figure from darkness or underworld" if you hadn't so carefully and perfectly placed the model next to it. At first, I even "thought" (perhaps a wishful projection on my part" that the young woman would be extending her right arm to reach (or detach, metaphorically, fantastically) from this specter from the beyond. In any case, this is one of the most intriguing, creative, visionary, best executed images I have seen in a long time. And of course, your choice for BW is the icing on the cake. Congratulations, and it immediately goes into my favorites!! DG Link to comment
