michaellinder 16,611 Posted January 15, 2018 ZT, I must say that this is one of the most unusual portraits I've ever seen. In my opinion, the appearance and position of the subject's hand makes the shot. Aside from yielding questions as to why she is partially hiding her face, the scattered areas of nail polish on her fingers seem to be quite congruent with the dark areas on her face. Clearly, the image reveals your creativity, aside from your technical skills. - -mhl Link to comment

DGorinstein 20 Posted January 19, 2018 Hello Zbigniew: I have been looking at this image often when looking at "trending", and passed by it several times. My mistake! It is so intriguing, so special, so different, that it did not let me go....It has been days..... I have been eager and tempted to comment, but could not find the right approach. Today, for some strange reason, I just couldn't let is pass any more. I looked at it carefully and at leisure, enjoying every detail. I find it a superb photograph, in every respect: technically, composition, BW choice, expression, portrait, sharpness, detail. But I guess it is the intense gaze of this enigmatic woman and equally perplexing coloring material on her face. Now I can tell you why I finally HAD to make a comment. I have many old Photography Year Books from the Royal Photographic Society, from the 1960s through the 90s.... This is top quality (note I don't say "high"), good old fashioned, simple, puristic photographic dexterity. I find it one of a kind, special and exceptional. I don't usually get so excited in my comments with an image unless it is this powerful. Congratulations. DG Link to comment

Jack_Maegli 0 Posted December 24, 2018 One of the nicer "eye" shots I have seen; nice use of low f/stop to blur out distractions! Link to comment
