frigo 4,155 Posted December 17, 2017 Greg&Verena..It has been very cold(going down to-14C tonight) and the shores are starting to ice up.Notice back of the ''hand'',the waters turn to a slushy consistance and freeze up when they hit the beach;that piece of driftwood will just grow before your eyes as it is splashed repeatedly....and I might add that being on that beach was very cold especially in the ''getting used'' period at the start of winter.Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
gregverena 339 Posted December 17, 2017 I guess you're going through a 'hardening off" period (like plants in spring just in reverse) You have good eye and fascinating surroundings- so glad you share them with us! Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted December 17, 2017 [[show-photo-18444750]] Greg & Verena,...You got it.I returned to get another shot at the ''hand'' today and was greeted by high NW winds which were chilling the already cold day to a biting -25C.Yesterday,the hand was standing tall on the almost denuded beach and today,it was overwhelmed by building up of the ice sheet(see attached)...I think I got this working:first, upload the attachment/630k on large side and then add comment.Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
