Jack McRitchie 150 Posted November 11, 2017 A beautiful shot, Laurent, probably your most successful of this beachside series. The play of tones between earth and sky is absolutely Turneresque. I'll favorite this one. Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted November 11, 2017 Hi Jack....Turneresque?I looked it up online...Thank you for the appreciation but mostly for parking this one in your Favorites. When I processed it,I kept good note of the comment you made on the other B/W shot of this series which I also retouched based on your observation and tried to attach to no avail for your perusal,so it ended up in the upload queue.Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
andrzejp 7 Posted November 11, 2017 Marvelous. So simple yet beautiful. Much more dramatic than color version analogue. Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted November 11, 2017 Hi Andrew,...Thank you kindly. These dunes are mostly deserted now that the cold of winter is pointing its nose. This landscape will again change dramatically in a very short time when the snow arrives.Salutations-Laurent Link to comment

Wayne Sadler 567 Posted November 11, 2017 Can't decide which amazes me more, the tonal work or the design. Excellent work, Laurent Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted November 11, 2017 Wayne,...After I had muted this to B/W,I applied a touch of warming sepia;the wind drifted in a fresh coat of sand and was just strong enough to curve the tall grass on the left. And the sky put up its best face for the shot...glad you like the result.Merci et salutations-Laurent Link to comment
charo 3 Posted November 11, 2017 Beautiful landscape Laurent. black and white is perfect here, with a nice balance of lights and shadows and a good gray scale. ....Kind Regards, Rosario. Link to comment
