another plus of your region- just as captivating as the snow! I commented earlier on f-stop on a macro, I now realize that the site is recording f 9.9 constantly for any photo, so I have no idea what you used in reality. We love this dune shot!

Hi Greg and Verena,...Can't help you much as the camera was on full auto and my eyes were being blasted by the sand lifted by the high winds...interesting but far more uncomfortable than snow. What I miss most in these outings is Caramelle's company which made walking the beach that much more interesting even if she got in the way and spoiled the surfaces.Re the snail shots...never got to try as the little guys must have decided to call it quits with the arrival of colder temperatures.Glad you like this dune shot.Salutations amicales

While one can see some wind effect in the grass, otherwise it's clear as could be. This just brings back memories of childhood running through and exploring dunes on Long Island- albeit in the summer :) I just wanted to point out that PN is still managing to screw things up with the exif info- your shot is spot on! Your camera knows its stuff!!

Wind is shaping in strange different configuration sand that can be for sure a nice photo subject as you show here,I like the grass bent on wind that gives a dynamic to image.I think when is so windy is not easy to have a shot.My area was no wind before but from few years is completely changed and we have now and I do not like at all,I like more calm sunny day.All my best my friend.

Greg and Verena,...Glad this jerks good memories for you. These dunes are great and do not attract many visitors except one lone photo-fan I know and some unfortunate ATV traffic which is not that compatible with nature conservation.Well,we all miss our old PN whichever way we look!Salutations-Laurent

Radu,This is one windy place and this fall we have had some extreme winds on several occasions....good for our wind farm but hellish for everything else. The winds shape these dunes and come first snow,we will get some interesting swirls/mixtures of sand-snow for good photo opportunities. Not many calm days here which makes it very difficult for macro and flower shots you are masterful at....but it is home. You also take care my friend.Salutations-Laurent
