Seems like I've seen a photo somewhat similar to this one before. This one also inspires me to think of a sideshow tent. What's interesting is that it's in the middle of an urban environment. Following the tent motif, perhaps the cones represent security guards who are charged with keeping customers away until they get the green light to remove the cones and the barriers. Alternatively, the image compels me to wonder what sort of construction project is happening here. In either case, kudos to you, Jack, for helping me to exercise the few brain cells that still are intact. And, by the way, the reds really stand out.

Thanks for the comment, Michael. Like you, I was a little perplexed by this gaudy carnival tent all alone in the middle of an urban environment. Actually this is directly across the street from my apartment. In Japan it's somewhat common to have a priest from the local shrine bless the workplace before construction begins. I presume this tent was put up in preparation for the ceremony. I'm always on the lookout for incongruity and this certainly fits the category.
