michaellinder 16,612 Posted October 30, 2017 In my opinion, this is the best of the recent series you posted for critique. The small puffs of orange clouds in the top left made me identify them with a celestial fire, if that makes any sense. But, to me, the strongest element is the silhouetted trees. This gives a great deal of punch to the image. Well done! - - Best, michael Link to comment
frigo 4,155 Posted October 31, 2017 Michael,...This is probably the best time of the year for this type of shot. The almost denuded trees leave plenty of space for the light to come through and the few remaining leaves work well in silhouette. This was a rather easy one for me as I only had to walk out of the house and get close to the trees in my front yard and seize the scene as the sun was about to pop over the horizon;the bottom part of the ''fire'' is the sky reflected on the almost calm harbour surface.Thank you for viewing and for the kind appreciation.Salutations-Laurent Link to comment
