Wayne Sadler 558 Posted October 29, 2017 It may be the inviting steps, the grandeur of the architecture or something else that continues to solicit a kind of personal offering of quiescence from the visitors to the Basilica Santa Maria della Salute. Link to comment

DGorinstein 20 Posted November 19, 2017 Congratulations! Great technique, rendering an unconventional, fresh approach and perspective of a too-often seen subject. This is far from trite, making it quite special, a Venice rarely (I dare say almost) never seen. Fabulous!! No wonder it was chosen as Editor's Choise...very well deserved! DG Link to comment
Wayne Sadler 558 Posted November 20, 2017 Thanks, Daniel. I didn't know this was an editor's pick. I was thinking I was the only one liking this. Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted December 25, 2017 Wayne, this image is a very fine tribute to everything that is Venice. Your own words are spot on, and they make my trying to come up with something better or different an exercise in futility. Yet, it seems to me that the usual painterly treatments you've used aren't as obvious in this case; to me, the subtlety works perfectly. Link to comment
