The other comments are spot on regarding you and the image. I will only add there is art in everything but sometimes you have to look a little harder. You my friend always seem to find it and thankfully share it with us...........................Best, Holger

Jack, I like the light cyan or aqua of the glass next to the yellow and orange - it's a nice combination and one of the main reasons the photo works. The triangular piece of glass is reminiscent of Mt. Fuji, and the circle etched to the right of Fuji's peak could be the sun (with some sunrise colors provided by the reflections in the glass). It's a suggested or abstract landscape on top of the other elements. My eye is drawn to what's happening on the left side of the photo; the right side is plain in comparison (except I like the diverging lines formed by the bottom edges of the panes). I keep going between your composition, and what it would be like with some of the right side cropped.

I'd go one step further than Mark in saying that, to me, the abstract character of the image isn't suggested at all. It smacked me right in the face! Granted there are several recognizable elements it contains, but they contribute significantly to the overall abstract effect. I'm referring primarily to the two orange tubes, the vivid teal lines on the bottom of the glass panes, the amalgam of geometric objects toward the top left, and the dead leaves strewn on the ground. Jack, you are a sorcerer; you found a way to transform lead into gold.

Interesting composition, rather like the sketch of a painter, particularly one that uses geometric figures. Capturing three of them in a single shot (apparently from discarded items), is a feat very few photographers can achieve. I admire this photo especially. Into my faves right away! I want to recur frequently just to enjoy the spectacle. DG
