Hi Radu,Thank you for the observation.I don't have a garden so they are just a good photo subject for me.I put these little guys on a carpet of Maple leaves to make the colorful background but I think using a macro lense was not the right choice as they are relatively too big and parts of the body is blurred out of focus.I will try again with another lense to compare results....if they are still around.Salutations amicales-Laurent

I think you've done good job with your macro lens here Laurent. Would be my choice anyway. You have good focus on shell and head area and nice leaf vein leading to red blobs which work nicely with the centre spiral, leading the eye round. A fine composition for me. Seems like you have trained this snail well. Look forward to seeing more

Antony.Thank you for the kind appreciation. The advantage of shooting these is that they move very slowly...but the head and antennas are continuously in movement making it difficult to seize the lot in focus especially with the macro lense. Here, the plus for digital with the many wasted shots.I gathered a few of the little guys, set up a backdrop with fallen Maple leaves and moved the snails/leaves around while shooting away;the deal was that they would be put back in their environment after the shoot.I need to try this with another lense to see if I get better focus but I am glad these images still generated interest.Salutations-Laurent

Line,...Merci bien. The fall colors are great right now and the winds have been relatively modest to date leaving the leaves for a visual delight as you well know(remember)!Salutations-Laurent
