Roadside Test Patterns

My golly--I just recalibrated my monitor, and this was one of the first images I saw; instant deja vu! And what's more, this was my first foray back into my portfolio and favorites in about 5 months--it's such a joy to see your photos again. My world becomes so much richer in possibilities when I catch a glimpse of your view of the world through your photos, and I appreciate that immensely.

Tom Robbins would be very happy with this roadside attraction. Whoever built it was trying to lure users of a particular herb, so they could sit in front of these objects for days wondering why there was no food around. And, by the way, Jack, I take it that the utility lines transmit the test patterns around the globe. - - The image consists of a strange admixture of grass and weeds (no pun intended) and human-made stuff which, I must add, nearly blinded me! - - Another quest for disruption by the man who tries to mess with our minds . . . - - michael

Where do you find these photos? You can't make this stuff up, Jack. Again, I like it without being able to give a very good explanation as to why. --Lannie

Very inspiring composition with bold patches of colors along with the lines of the electric pole on the right as balancing element. The white sky is a blend of all the colors that the boards are showing and more. In that sense, the boards serve as a partial deconstruction of the sky itself.

Whenever things get sufficiently out of whack and a little too depressing, I stop by your portfolio for a sanity check and a calibration. It never fails.
