Pei's Louvre

From afar I questioned I.M. Pei’s aesthetics of placing glass pyramids in the central courtyard of the Louvre Palace, the world’s largest art museum. Modernist glass pyramids just didn’t seem right among the French Renaissance style buildings of the Louvre. But it took me all of 2 seconds on the grounds and I was in love with the place, pyramids and all.
