limajunior 7 Posted September 1, 2017 The context of photography are all elements that make up the image. There are the immediate context and the situational context. The immediate context is formed by the elements that precede and that make up the image. The situational concept is established by elements outside the image that allow the understanding of the intention of the photographer. We call it: the story behind the photo. If we consider, on set, the image and the title of the Line’s work (Native America), we check the immediate context formed by the subject of the photo (an American Native with the typical costumes) and the situational context when the viewer imagines that the subject of the photo is doing a prayer for Manitu or threatening someone who's on a horse or on top of a rock (the story behind the photo). Neither Manitu nor the horse and the stone make up the image. In this view, the Line’s work has very context. Nice work. Very well done. Congratulations. Roldao. Link to comment
