Timo Hartikainen 548 Posted July 23, 2017 I had finished my coffee and noticed those small spills at the bottom of the mug and I immediately thought I should take a photo of them, but I couldn't find a good spot for the mug, until I found a marble trivet. Pentax 50mm f1.8 with close-up filter (+4). Link to comment
Timo Hartikainen 548 Posted July 24, 2017 I noticed later, that the upper right corner area looks a little bit strange, it's like a cloning job badly done. I guess it's due to the close-up filter doing tricks in the corner area and also the mug isn't perfectly round at the bottom it's more like a rectangle with round corners. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted October 28, 2017 Just my sort of picture, a photo that somehow bridges the realistic and the abstract. A wonderful composition with just the right amount of color in the coffee stains to bring the image to life. I have no trouble with the darker area in the upper right corner; this isn't an advertisement after all but a moment of recognition from a real but imperfect world. This is the type of photography I encounter far too seldom on PN nowadays, the kind that makes me nod my head and say "yes". Link to comment
