Alan, actually the "hole" is a beauty spot. I considered removing it [not surgically of course], but kept it there to be authentic. Thanks!

What a charming little girl and a lovely portrait! Colors are nice and bright although I'm wondering about whether you used a polarizing filter because of the reflections on the leaves? Also, her skin has a bit of a reddish cast (maybe it's magenta - it's hard to tell exactly) that I might adjust ever so slightly. I know her skin color is supposed to be darker but it just appears to my eye (or maybe my monitor) that way. Hope to see more :-)

Actually Margaret, no filter was used. Her skin tone looks pretty much as I remember it, but your eye is always finely observant :-) Thanks for the comment...

OK.. yes, I thought so.. because with a PL filter you could have removed those reflections on the leaves and deepened their saturation. It's still a great photo... I'm just so used to noticing these *little* details :-)
