I like the candid feeling and low tech, unposed, almost snapshot nature of the photo. It's like a vignette glimpsed out of the corner of your eye quickly registered and collected sans editorial comment or meaning. These kinds of pictures - seemingly right out of your great aunt's family album - aren't going to get much notice nowadays, I'm afraid. PN has been re-directed into a lower orbit where more challenging or thought provoking pictures such as this have little audience. As you have probably noticed yourself, a number of the more off-beat/original artists on this site are no longer active. In my opinion PN is much poorer for this.

thanks jack.. it is sad. very little variety on the site and kind of generic photography for me. the site has become like all the other photo sites I feel. once in awhile there is a quirky fantastic shot and it gets 1 comment and 3 views, also I find the site has turned into something commercial, all those advertisements

. they even place them on my personal portfolio.. its tacky . doesn't feel much like art anymore. reminds me of mothers day or Christmas .,,, so commercial . where is the love Jack. ? it was a good run but its over now!

I'm not active much anymore. It's almost comical how clunky and uninteresting this site has become. A good number of the photographers who made PN the best and most distinctively creative site on the internet have just disappeared. I really don't think management cares. I still check in to see what you (and a couple of others) have posted but otherwise, my heart isn't in it anymore.

to jack.. I feel the same way.. it feels commercial to me and I miss the people who made the site. you were one of a handful of people on this site who really encouraged me to keep taking photos jack. your photos helps me to become. a better photographer thanks
