Jack McRitchie 150 Posted May 13, 2017 Hi Lannie. I haven't been very active on PN lately because I find the site clumsy and hard to navigate. Oh well... Anyway, I'm glad to see you are still true to your vision, documenting the environment in which you live. I like the honest depiction of this scene but feel that the focus is just a little off. This is something that I've noticed with the new PN. The larger format of the pictures displayed is very unforgiving and even small focus problems are immediately visible. I've noticed this in several of my own pictures as well though I haven't even been able to summon up the energy to remove them. To be honest with you, I think PN is pretty well done and only come by to see what my old friends are up to. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted May 14, 2017 Well, I don't see how to post an in-line photo and am not interested in digging around to find out how to do it. I learned it once for the old site. That was enough. --Lannie Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted May 14, 2017 Good to hear from you, Jack. The site does indeed seem moribund. I have no enthusiasm for it, but I keep posting "this and that" once in a while--for no particular reason. The picture may indeed be soft. It is a relatively small portion of a larger haphazard shot I took just to document for myself specifics about this lot. I noticed that the light was good and so I tried to rotate it and make something of it. No sharpening was added. I frankly wish that you would post a few pictures and put them up for critique--just to see if your presence could generate more activity. It is not merely that the site is not "mechanically sound," but also (and even more) that quite a few good people do not seem to be around. In any case, I am going to try to post an in-line version of the resized original--might as well try it, although it might take me a half hour to find out how to do it, an investment of time that I find depressing. --Lannie Link to comment
