hstelljes 41 Posted May 11, 2017 What a beautiful place to have to yourself Alf. Great POV, but you can't go wrong when they are all good views. The glowing moss contrasts perfectly with the soft water. I wish we could see the data regarding camera settings and so forth. One of the small issues with PN. Anyway a very beautiful image Alf................Best Always, Holger Link to comment
michaellinder 16,611 Posted May 12, 2017 What? Only 3 comments so far? I'm happy to get in early. Lest I think that water and rock are the only strong elements in this image, I need not look any further than the mid- to upper-right. In all likelihood, judging by the size of the tree roots and trunk, the tree must be something to see. Somehow, it seems to anchor the image. I love the moss on the rocks and the gently flowing water. My best always, Alf - - -michael Link to comment
alfbailey 2 Posted May 12, 2017 PATSY ....... Thank you so much for your thoughts and kind words. Best Regards ............Alf CHRIS .........Many Thanks, there were so many options for composition , but this one seems to have worked best. ........Regards ...Alf HOLGER ......I was very fortunate! On two counts really 1 I had the place to myself and 2 there was a decent amount of water flowing through the falls. I have seen other images where it is almost dry and just doesn't look as photogenic. I know what you mean about the lack of data so just for you :) 1/2 second @ F / 8 ISO 200, Focal Length 23mm Tripod. Thank you very much! MICHAEL ........PN doesn't seem to get the same amount of traffic any more there was only 16 views of the image so far, but I'm not complaining, I just find it difficult to navigate the site any more and so I'm not as active. Its always good to hear from you though and Yes I agree the tree really does make a difference to the composition. Sincere Thanks & Best Regards .........Alf Link to comment

Donna Stavis 0 Posted May 23, 2017 Looks like a lovely place, Alf. There is a visceral feel here – everything watery, damp, refreshing, textures soft, hard to the point I could imagine slipping and bleeding, slimy, ticklish ...waterfalls. It is so difficult to navigate this new site. I wish they would return to what they had before. Hoping things are good with you! Link to comment
alfbailey 2 Posted May 23, 2017 DONNA ......So good to hear from you! I am well thank you and hope you are also? Yes I miss the old site too, the community as it was seems to have but disappeared, I took this photo not long after dawn on a very cold spring morning and I was very fortunate to have the whole place to myself for a couple of hours......sheer bliss! .........Best Regards .......Alf Link to comment
