Holger, thank you very much for your comment. What caught my eye was the curved fence, somewhat rare in my experience. The shadows it produced were equally interesting.

Just marvelous! I did one like this on a foot bridge but yours is so much more dynamic! Bravo!

Curves, long shadows and magnificent light all combine in a very aesthetic manner to make your image very appealing. It does make me wonder why there is a partial fence and why it is curved. I don't ponder for long because the shadows keeps me well focused and grounded. Congrats on Photo of the day!

 

I am afraid that I am still learning how to circumnavigate the new version of the PN site and unfortunately I am more in the mode of uploading images as opposed to socializing and critiquing. Some members are still struggling with how to upload images.

Something so mundane, can become superb. Kudos.

Supriyo, a superior b&w image . . . Excellent composition, razor sharp detail, comprehensive tonal range - best of all, the shadows (interesting mix of linear and curved). Congrats on the POTD.

Michael, I really value the comments regarding the abstract nature of this work coming from you. Your abstract work is one of the best I have seen here. Thanks for the observation regarding the shadows being a mix of lines and curves. Its something I find special about this picture.
