Hi Chris, Thank you;the boats with a full load of traps all line up waiting for six o'clock sharp(under the eye of the Fisheries officers) before rushing off in this race for the best fishing spots.This action scene with the front runners in calm waters last but 15 seconds and then it is turmoil for the followers which have to fight the wake-stirred surface(see next shot).Salutations-Laurent

Jim,This is an annual presentation and to get the best ''seat'',you have to be up on the bridge by 5h30 am latest....and be well dressed as temperatures dance with freezing.This year ,there was good light otherwise,overcast means dark! Salutations-Laurent

Eyes...Thank you.As I noted to others above,this is a once a year scene and it lasts for 15 seconds as the boats rush for the best fishing spots at the season's onset.This time the light was good and the sunrise gave it that firery tint.Glad you like!Salutations-Laurent
