The composition most, I guess with the symmetry of the two figures isolated (even more so by the featureless grey, and facing each other defining the' gesture'. or 'itness' of the picture. But they almost appear secondly(?) because of the contrast in the boats grabbing attention at first. These text comments are frustrating to describe visual things, but I do it anyway as an exercise in clarity so maybe I can learn.... Link to comment
