Larry, I like these kind of images, they create their own art. A few years back I posted a similar image. This has a lot of good detail. If this is the Mississippi it must really be brutally cold in Minnesota. Stay warm and keep shooting.

Holger, I was testing out and learning to use a new lens in shooting this. I appreciate your seeing the image as art. It was over 40 degrees F when I took this. We have actually had a mild winter with little snow. We had a week or two of brutal single digit an below zero days a while ago to freeze up the river. Thanks again, Holger.

Patsy, Thanks for all of your visits. I appreciate your connection. i was trying to capture detail without too much contrast. I actually lowered the clarity on this in editing to smooth it out, but was careful to maintain detail. Thanks again. Larry
