hstelljes 41 Posted February 13, 2017 So that's where the mighty Mississippi starts. A very nice image Larry and now I can appreciate what you said in the last post about a mild Minnesota winter, comparatively speaking. I like the perspective and the wooden bridge. When the foliage comes in spring this must be a veritable jungle. Take care...BR, Holger Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted February 14, 2017 Patsy, Thanks for viewing this image. I like it because of its soft rather than contrasty. Also, the people on the bridge make the image work. Thanks , again. Larry Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted February 14, 2017 The Mississippi starts at Lake Itaska in norther Minnesota where it is a tiny trickle. This is a little spur off of the river as it goes around Nicollet island in Minneapolis. This laid back spot must have attracted lots of walkers because the entrance to this area is blocked off- people like to step over barricades. Thanks for your visits and friendship. Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted March 8, 2017 Gregory and Verena, Excuse my tardy reply. I have been having difficulty negotiating and using this new site, garumph. This image was taken from the Stone Arch Bridge close to the Main Street side. The hiking trail was roped off due to slippery conditions, but that attracts people, right? I appreciate your comment. Thanks. Larry Link to comment
