Leslie Reid 5,207 Posted January 22, 2017 What a gorgeous view, and the wisps of lenticular clouds are really special. I like the colors in the foreground, and the way you've framed the peak with the trees is very nicely done. The sky looks a little bit dark and oversaturated (though I know this is high elevation so it automatically is to some extent)--it might be interesting to try dialing back on it just a little bit; that might actually make the colors in the foreground work even better due to reduced "competition." (How's that for a flakey concept?) If I had one wish it'd probably be that we could see the top of the tree closest to the right of the peak, but I'm guessing the original image didn't allow a looser crop up there. Nice photo! glenn_cummings1 6 Posted January 23, 2017 Thanks Leslie. The tip of the tree being cut off always bothered me as well. This was shot at 40mm with a 24-105, I believe. I do have another image shot at 24 but the mountain seems too far in the distance. Link to comment
