tm_j 30 Posted January 18, 2017 Thanks for viewing/comments! Thought I do a different shot of Hawaii ... after all, not to many people would haul their long lenses up to Diamond Head to shoot, LOL! Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted January 18, 2017 Regimented chaos? Very well captured in fine detail and vertical alignment. It's not the usual palm trees and beach scene usually associated with Hawaii. Well done... Mike Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted January 18, 2017 Thanks Mr. Mancil! It's my first time climbing to the top of Diamond Head and I had been dreaming of this type of shot for years :-). Lighting was not what I expected but it's not too bad. Link to comment
gregverena 336 Posted January 20, 2017 Wow, not what we usually imagine about Hawaii! Looks like the Old Pink is getting the squeeze. Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted January 20, 2017 Thanks Greg & Verena! Seems like a squeeze but when I look at the map they show the Royal Hawaiin price as $347 /nigt, the big one behind is Sheraton Waikiki at $274 and the one on the right (Outrigger Waikiki) at $299 /night . So, it's not being squeeze much in term of price, I think :-) Link to comment
joaodebarros 1 Posted January 21, 2017 Another type of "jungle" this place...It's not the idea I have about Hawaii...thanks for share TmJ! Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted January 26, 2017 Muito Obrigado Joao! Waikiki is very much developed and at the end near the zoo there's a park that's nicer. Hawaii has 4,5 big islands and each has it's own beauty. I like Kawaii the best since it's more secluded and more of what those travel poster try to show you. The big island, Hawaii, is probably my second choice and then Maui . Oahu is the most metropolitan island and I go here because my big Bro' has an empty studio on this island and that save me the hotel bill (I donate the equivalent hotel bill to the poor, btw). charo 3 Posted January 26, 2017 Hi TmJ. Climbing to the top of the Diamond Head was worth it, because you got a nice picture. I did it in 2008, and I took a simmilar image, but not as good as yours.Kind Regards,Rosario. Link to comment
