You have to make sure to get the feeder out first thing in the morning and make sure that it doesn't freeze throughout the day.  They just started coming a couple of years ago but this year they might be regretting it as we've had a cold snap longer than usual.

Procrastination is not tolerated in nature, hope they head south soon.  Keep that sugar water flowing ;-).  A superb photo, I'm continually amazed that they allow you to get so close; but then, you're the hummer whisperer ;-)... Mike

I also like taking photos of Anna's. We have several living around our house; one in the back tree and one in the front. They sit and guard the feeders, chasing others away from "theirs." They seem to pose. They still were there during our cold and snowy last week but they have a way of moderating their body temps to survive, but also we live in Western Oregon, so the weather is fairly moderate.
