charo 3 Posted January 13, 2017 Hi, Pierre. The first thing that came to mind when I saw this image, was the song, "Money" by Pink Floyd. I see that under the coins we have bills too ... will you be a rich man?Kind Regards,Rosario. Link to comment

michaellinder 16,611 Posted January 13, 2017 You are rich, indeed - rich in photographic skill, knowledge, history and creativity, which is best of all. Who else can produce a work of art from an assortment of coins? My best always, michael Link to comment
JamieK 1 Posted January 13, 2017 at first, it's clear that the edges aren't quite right. no shadows, perhaps. then, you can see that the light sources are in different places. best, j Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 260 Posted January 14, 2017 Welcome and thank you, Jack, Efren, Maria, Patsy, Michael and Jamie! Jack, my dream contains golden coins, a lots of golden coins! Efren, the initial photo contained lot less coins and I didn't have time to arrange well the additional ones! Michael, this is far from work of art in my humble opinion! Bravo, Jamie PDE Link to comment

Pierre Dumas 260 Posted January 16, 2017 It would be a complex mathematical operation to count the whole sum, Sam! The numismatic value is certainly more! Thanks for dropping by! PDE Link to comment
thadley 15 Posted January 16, 2017 A wonderful capture. Your images and many on Photo.net are great because I can learn something - photo technique, a variety of places, history, etc. I did not know anything about Democritus but now I know just a little via Google University: Known as the 'laughing philosopher’ because of the importance he placed on 'cheerfulness’, Democritus was the first philosopher to posit that what we refer to as the 'Milky Way’ was the light of stars reaching our perception and that the universe may in fact be a multi-verse with other planets sustaining life (a theory which Physicists today are increasingly recognizing as mathematically probable). All the best, Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 260 Posted January 16, 2017 Welcome and thank you, Tony! This isn't exactly a "shot", but pretty obvious montage which our friend Jamie Kraft so well detected and described! Democritus is my favorite far ahead Aristotle! Cheers to that PDE Link to comment
jorge_fernandez3 1 Posted January 18, 2017 Tony gave us a lesson with his reference to a philosopher that is very important for enjoying every moment! You are the image philosopher! Warm regards. Link to comment
