Leslie Reid 5,214 Posted January 9, 2017 In both this image and "Protector of the lake," I'm really enjoying what you're doing with the combination of B&W and color. Here the color works beautifully to animate the humanity of the city, and the B&W works beautifully to add some powerful connotations to the word "confines"; the superimposed grid amplifies that even more. And the wording on the wall--it makes the entire image read like a visual poem. The thing that really strikes me is that I don't think the image would seem complete without all of these elements being present, and it never would have occurred to me to combine them like this. I love the way you see the world--your images make me smile and they make me think, and that's a delightful combination. Link to comment
