Jack McRitchie 150 Posted January 8, 2017 You've either brought us down to pixel size or brought this block up into a world that must seem like an entirely different and incredibly finer reality. Link to comment

michaellinder 16,611 Posted January 9, 2017 Somehow, every time you "return to abstract" the result is new and often quite surprising - another excursion into Dumasland. This image is no exception. I have absolutely no problem with it's being blurry. In fact, I think the blurriness goes exceedingly well with the soft detail of the cube's exterior. Given also the low saturation level, it's almost as if the cube somehow is melding with its environment - the large areas of both light and dark brown. As to a story . . . The cube immediately reminds me of one of my favorite sources of science fiction, Star Trek - The Next Generation. Several episodes involve a highly cybernetic society - the Borg. They travel in cube-shaped devices that are able to adapt to a weapon's technologies so as to be able to neutralize it. Again, since we are in Dumasland, the device is his and his alone. Pierre Dumas 264 Posted January 10, 2017 Welcome and thank you, Michael, Sreten, Ken and Patsy! Michael, well said my friend! Nothing is blurry except the general impression! And you are right about the genuine nature because I never saw one episode of star treks! PDE Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 264 Posted January 10, 2017 I made a square picture on which I applied the Lotis tiling filter, opened a huge new file and dropped the square picture there three times! Then I free transformed the upper and the right one with skew and scale transforming tools until I made a perfect cube, that's all! Thank you for your visit, Eystein! PDE Link to comment
